Lawrence Charles Hale
Lawrence Hale has worked on a broad spectrum of projects for the oil and gas industry, agricultural facilities, retail
stores, post offices, US Public Health Service water and wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, recreation and
public works. Project locations include rural Alaska villages, the North Slope, Fairbanks, Anchorage, California,
NY, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lawrence has performed power studies including arc flash and short circuit calculations, electrical coordination and
power flow, the design of custom arc flash labels, and heat tracing for cold regions such as the North Slope. He has
specified diesel and microturbine generators and turbine generator balance of plant, transfer switches and installation,
and integrated switchgear. He provides project construction cost estimating, professional engineering opinions and
detailed bills of materials, construction observation service, and Fire Marshal and utility company coordination.
Lawrence is well versed in the National Electrical Code, 70E, the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace,
hazardous areas, including both division and zone systems (API 500 and 505). He has served as Lead Electrical and
Manager of Electrical, Instrument and Control Departments. Lawrence has worked in difficult, challenging environments
that have included the North Slope, Iraq and Afghanistan. He received training in survival skills in very cold temperatures
and learned the dangers of working in hot, dangerous war zones. Lawrence is dedicated, thorough and believes in timely
work, meeting scheduled deadlines and supporting projects through construction that extends into evenings and weekends.
